Hello everyone!!! Paper Crafts Gallery Idol challenge voting starts today!
The first round for the Top 20 was to
use DIY embellishments on your card!
I love working in a style that I have deemed "shabby fresh," marked by color, clean design and layering of different embellishments.
The DIY Embellishments are flowers die cut
from patterned paper. They are then stitched together, dry-brushed with paint and are button-centered. Bending up the edges creates some dimension.
The inspiration came from fresh flowers sold at farmers markets and the like. They wrap your bunch of flowers in newsprint, so I incorporated the newsprint into the card.
Make sure to register, and place your vote--I hope that you like mine enough to vote for it. My other fellow Top 20 have created some BEAUTIFUL work!
