Seasons Givings Blog Hop

I never like to say goodbye to the Christmas season, the season of giving! When dear Latisha asked if I would be interested in participating in a blog hop where I could give away some blog goodies, I excitedly said, "yes!" Giving is so fabulous, and giving away scrap supplies is even better! :-)
Every person in this hop is giving something away. All you need to do is go to their blog and leave a comment. Today, I am going to share with you some of my favorite cards and projects from 2012. SEI + House Christmas Tree Ornament

I love love love collecting miniature little houses, like the Christopher Radko Brand. Their cute little colors, pretty glitter and nostalgic feel make me so happy. I decorate my house with them every year.

Since I love collecting the houses and setting them out, I decided to use SEI's Holiday Traditions collection to make an ornament for my tree.

The homes, resin flourish and glitter are Melissa Frances, but you can find any glitter home pattern on the internet, download it and trace it onto your SEI paper. I traced the outline of the home onto Pale Ginger ale, adhered it to the house, inked all the edges with SEI Copper chalk Ink, and then assembled the little home.

I adhered the little resin flourish over the door. I traced the pattern of the roof Family Gatherings, trimmed it and adhered it to the roof. For the dormer window rood, I used patterned paper from the Holiday Traditions 6" x 6" paper pad. I traced the shape of the dormer roof onto the paper, trimmed it and adhered. I added tinsel glitter to the roof and dormer roof.

The little house kit comes with a base that I covered with Crystal Icing patterned paper. I then positioned the included hanger through the house's built-in hole in the roof, and strung a bell and ribbon trim from Holiday Tradition's sundries pack before adhering the house to the base. Adding the hanger and ribbon makes it possible for the house to hang from your Christmas tree! After, I inked the cardboard fence with SEI chalk ink, added some glitter, and adhered it to the base. Finally, I added some Holiday Tradition's cardstock stickers--the cute little children with the sled and the holly leaves at the apex of the dormer roof, finishing the house off with Holiday Tradition's borders on the trim of the little home!

Avocado Arts + One Last Christmas Card!

Hey there friends! I just couldn't resist making one last card right before Christmas! It's always sad when the holiday ends so quickly after spending months of anticipation preparing and crafting for it! But, here's one last card that plays with this month's set, Smitten With You.

I love the adorable snowglobe from Smitten With You and of course, the vintage tree from Very Merry Christmas and the pretty snowflakes from Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps.

I stamped the snowglobe, masking the chevron print. Then I stamped the tree and snowflakes to make it appear they're gently falling. I added some pearls for dimension, and created a sentiment from stickers.

Avocado Arts + Winter Fox Love

Hey there friends! Today the whole Pit Crew from Avocado Arts will be sharing projects with you! It's a sneak peak day, so we use stamps from the current month's set, which is Smitten With You, or a past set and mix it with a sneak from next month's set, which you're going to love!
Today's project is a cute little card featuring two cute foxy coffee cups and some ooohlala love!

You can customize the coffee cups in next month's set, but for this card, I decided to make a cute love card, so I affixed the fox stickers with foam tape to the center of the coffee cups.

I stamped little hearts steaming from the coffee cups and added this cute new sentiment stamp.

Avocado Arts + Smitten Love

Hey there friends! Today, the Pit Crew brings you projects featuring December's new set, Smitten With You. This super cute set features a dress-me-up stylish penguin, a cute snow globe, snowflakes and a cozy little igloo.

For today's card I was inspired by the adorable penguin, sentiment and snowglobe to make this cute little love card! I masked the penguin and snowman from Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps in a little snowglobe!

To give it a wintery feel I added snowflakes from Brrr! And the Nerdy Snow Peeps, some tinsel glitter and rosy little cheeks on the penguin!

SEI + Baby Onesie Gifts

Christmas is my favorite time of year, which is probably what everyone says, but for me it's true, since it's the time of year I met my husband and we started dating. I love decorating for the holiday, shopping for it and making Christmas gifts for friends and family. Today's project is for the 12 Days of Christmas Gifts that SEI's features yearly on the blog. It's a gift that that I will give my future little one, but would be equally fun to make and give to the little one in your life, today's gift is Baby's First Christmas onesies!

Literally, this is the quickest and EASIEST gift to make. Two steps is all it takes!

here's the two-step process:

1. Select your favorite SEI Iron-On transfers, and simple peel off the elements that you would like to use. For this gift I used Reindeer and Elf and the Gingerbread Man Iron-On kits.

2. What's fun about these kits is that you can make your own designs simply by layering pieces on one another and placing them on the onesie. To set the pieces, make sure to place your onesie on a flat surface. Place the images on the onesie where you want them (flock side up). Pre-heat your iron to the cotton or linen setting. Once the iron is heated, place it on the the design and hold for 15-20 seconds! It's that easy.

I picked up this adorable little onesie and cap set at Target because of the cute little sentiment on the front. The Elf iron-on is centered on the onesie, and his little Elf hat is placed off center on the cap!

The Gingerbread Iron On Kit has the cutest little sentiment, so I made it the main theme of my design! Again, I layered all the individual iron on pieces to customize my design and set them with the iron.
